MEKONG
This exhibition explores memory, identity, and cultural inheritance through a reimagined and diasporic lens. Drawing from the my Vietnamese heritage—particularly the landscapes and spiritual practices of the Mekong Delta—the works reimagine everyday rituals and vernacular forms into playful, immersive, multi-sensory installations.
Floating paper boats become vessels of migration, memory, and emotional weight, while a glowing, ornamental altar transforms Southern Vietnamese ancestral practices into a space of queer devotion and radiant self-invention. Accompanying motion graphics further expand this world, blending archival imagery, poetic gestures, and digital textures to evoke the flowing rhythms of the river, fragmented memory, and the tension between displacement and belonging. Through vibrant color, synthetic materials, and symbolic layering, the exhibition blurs the sacred and the personal—honoring what is carried, remembered, and reimagined across distance and time.
