The sculpture made from wired glitter ribbon met and intertwined with each other in the intersection then stretched apart from different directions. There are black feathers rained from the bridges symbolizing death and loss. The inspiration drew from The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl Chinese mythology (which spread popularity across Asian cultures), telling a story of a forbidden couple of a fairy and a mortal who can only meet once a year on a bridge built of birds. The sculpture reinterprets this myth through a queer lens. Historically, the term “fairy” has been used, sometimes pejoratively, to refer to queer individuals. The narrative becomes a metaphor for difficulties and challenges from society that queer people face in relationships.
